I evaluated every product based on 4 critical factors that matter most to my patients:
1. Absorbency & Leak Protection
Can it actually handle real bladder leaks—not just "light dribbles"?
I tested capacity using standardized volume measurements (up to 8oz/240ml). Products had to contain a full stress incontinence episode without leaking through to clothing.
2. Odor Control & Hygiene
Does it keep you fresh all day, or do odors develop within hours?
I evaluated antimicrobial properties, moisture-wicking performance, and whether users experienced any infections or skin irritation during extended wear.
3. Comfort & Appearance
Does it feel like medical equipment, or can you maintain your dignity?
I assessed fabric quality, visibility under clothing, noise (crinkling), and whether it looked like "regular underwear" or an obvious medical product.
4. Value For Money
What does it actually cost per year, and does it save you money long-term?
I calculated cost-per-wear over 250+ washes for reusables, and annual costs for disposables based on typical daily usage.
